Party House is a two-level, 8,000 sq. foot music venue, centrally located in downtown New York City, straddling Chinatown and Tribeca. Blurring the lines between music and art culture, the venue is designed to function as a concert hall, dance club, and lounge. The long-awaited space has been built from the ground up to make life as fun as possible and is now setting out to reclaim downtown’s nightlife.
ÉTÉ D’AMOUR est arrivé! The Summer of Love has arrived! After a 7-year absence, the transatlantic Parisian Respect party returns to New York City. A long overdue comeback to the NYC nightlife landscape, Respect unites with Le Jean De and first-class promoters Made Event for a sizzling summer series. - Ed Banger records head Pedro Winters has stepped down from managing Daft Punk to concentrate on the label and his own musical career as Busy P. But that didn’t stop him from dropping a serious robot bomb on Aussie electronic site InTheMix.
- Daft Punk is in the studio. Their new album is set to be released in 2010: “The boys are in a studio in Paris at the moment. And I can’t wait to listen to their new stuff! The good thing is that they are making music at the moment.”
- In the meantime, the next-best-thing would be to catch Faux Punk, the Daft Punk cover dj crew, when they perform a FREE Thrillest Internet Week Party with Fingers on the Pulse at the Hiro Ballroom in New York City on June 4th. RSVP Here. Experienced Faux Punk last year at the Alive release party at Studio B. Twas a really good time filled with the usual drunk and hoppin’ Europeans. The fact that this party’s free should be worth it to ya.
- The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival is proud to announce the addition of KRS ONE and DJ Premier to the 2008 lineup.
- The 2008 POOL PARTIES Line Up has been announced. All of these shows are at McCarren Pool in Brooklyn this summer and are FREE: The Hold Steady, Matt + Kim, MGMT, the Ting Tings, Black Lips, Aesop Rock plus MORE.

Apparently the wrong version of A-Trak’s remix of “Beeper” has been floating around.
Message from A-Trak:
As you know I did a remix for Count & Hello Sinden’s “Beeper”. Unfortunately when the label got it mastered there was an error and the engineer cut off the first second of my track. By the time Domino let me hear it, it was already on promo cds circulating and even though they fixed it for the commercial release, that’s the version that got on all the blogs. Here’s the correct version of my track. It’s easy to hear the difference: it starts with a kick drum. If you could let people know that they probably have a defective one and encourage them to download this one, that would really help… thanks!
In celebration of LA Riot’s party tomorrow at Love…and just because this song is like crack and any excuse to post it would be great, download LA Riots’s and Villains’s remix of Hot Chip’s “Ready for the Floor” from Trash Menagerie.

Okay, I am totally aware of the fact that this tape has been floating around since January of this year but I could never truly motivate myself to sit down and listen to anything touched by Steve Aoki. Just look at him:
Do you want to listen to music made by that? Its like you can smell his B.O. from the screen. His association with La Lohan probably didn’t help either. But after all of the fliers about the Dim Mak/Fools Gold party tonight I couldn’t help but to be intrigued. From the few tracks that I’ve heard on the tape, I have to admit its pretty amazing.
